A film with a centered focus on perspective and composition.

What happens when you watch someone watch someone? This question became the concept that led to researching what it’s like to simply walk in busy social areas and notice/imagine the perspective of a person in front of you. We all constantly create natural framing for other people’s point of view, no matter the location.

We collected footage over multiple days, keeping a similar frame that is shot just over the shoulder to reveal a blurry but recognisable surrounding. This shifts the focus to reveal what this person might be watching, a performance on the rocks. The movement vocabulary was improvised with the intent to be influenced by the location and all the natural elements it brings.
